Armen Alexander Design is a Manhattan-based interior design studio creating layered interiors that balance cinematic atmosphere with thoughtful composition. The studio approaches each project as a study in form, proportion, and narrative, blending eras and thoughtful contrast to create spaces that feel timeless yet distinctly personal.
The work is grounded in a balance of structure and softness, discipline and expression, with an emphasis on materiality, lighting, craftsmanship, and collected character. From full-service renovations to furnishing, styling, and more focused design interventions, each project is shaped around how a client lives and how a space can evolve over time.
ABOUT ARMEN
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Armen Alexander draws from his German-Armenian heritage and a lifelong interest in interiors, fashion, art, and visual composition. His early career in television instilled a cinematic understanding of lighting and atmosphere. After relocating to New York in 2022, his work alongside leading designers on luxury residential projects sharpened his technical fluency and understanding of how a home is built, layered, and lived in.
Armen approaches each project as a study in form, proportion, and narrative, blending eras and thoughtful contrast to create spaces that feel timeless yet distinctly personal. His practice extends beyond interiors through JAN Objects and FORM, carrying the same attention to material, structure, and composition into related creative work. Across each discipline, his work balances structure and softness, discipline and expression, with an appreciation for the perfectly imperfect.
